As an independent consultant, I could feel powerless when it comes to equality and diversity. I’m a white, middle-class male in a business of one. How can I possibly increase the diversity of my business?
Fortunately, the MRS and ICG have worked together to design an Inclusion Pledge for businesses just like mine.
By signing up to the pledge, I agree to do what I can to further the causes of equal pay for equal work, and representation of women and marginalised communities in research. I agree to do what I can to call out inappropriate behaviour or injustices. And I agree to do what I can to improve representation in our sector.
It’s hard to disagree with any of that.
